It's the shoes - espn2

and it's commonly said that women have a lot of shoes! in a late night surf of tv channels, i came across this show called 'it's the shoes' on espn2. i watched for a good 10 - 15 minutes, entertained, laughing, and somewhat amazed.

when i came across the show, i saw a red nike shoe in the hand of one guy. Apparently, it was a fake nike? in which case the guy urged peeps to spend a few more dollars to get the real thing as he saw a picture of fake nikes on peeps proudly rocking 'em in magazine pictures. much like a fake purse, the people that care to notice, will notice if your goods are the real deal!

before the commercial break, they showed allen iverson in a georgetown game, making a sweet move to the rim and a nice dunk. iverson lands and the show blacks out his shoes and asks what shoes was he wearing? the answer when they come back. Seriously, this show is for the true sneakerhead that was paying attention to the shoes. of course, i had no clue and channel surfed away long enough to miss the answer.

but i did get back to see the host talk to Clark Kent (not Superman) but a top sneakerhead and hip-hop guy. he made the point that he doesn't collect shoes. he just likes new sneakers, his sneakers have to be new. if they're not clean, they're out. then they showed some unique shoes designed with the nike id.

all in all...a ton of sneakers taking up a ton of room. if these guys are married, i wonder what their wives shoe collection looks like.

sure, I'll blog

odd really. i'm not one to post personal info on the internet, but i figure i should try out a blog. it won't get too personal, just general thoughts on what i've observed. it's pretty late or early depending on how you want to look at it (1:44 am) so i'll save my first real post until later.
